Who couldn't use a week in the sun on a beach?! Last week the ENTIRE Deer family traveled to Gulf Shores, Alabama - the second time for such a trip. The first Deer family vacation was seven years ago... Rylan was only 4, Caleb only 2... and Nolan was just a sparkle in my eye :) There were six grandchildren at the time, the oldest was 6 years old. Fast forward seven years and we now have nine grandchildren with two more on the way. (And NO! I'm definitely not one of the pregnant ones!)
It was a great week - and spending quality time with my kiddos was just what the doctor ordered.
-
Poor Rylan got very sunburned on the first day - so avoided the sun the rest of the week. He did have a ball looking for oyster shells... and do we have the box full to prove it!
-
Caleb's highlight was deep sea fishing. The boys headed out for a day on the boat, and came back with 12 good-sized red snapper and a black snapper. He also loved the day we went to the Chopper store to see all the custom motorcycles....he has a little of his dad in him ;)
-
And Nolan was just a joy! We spent my entire first day there in the pool - he wouldn't let me out of his sight. He also helped me cook dinner for 22 ... and was my little sidekick the whole week.
The week was great inspiration for my upcoming summer kit release for The Whole Kit N Kaboodle! Great inspiration... but it's been a little hard to get back in the work-mode! I'm trying... slowly getting back in the grove :)
Gee, I was worried your computer crashed...it had been two weeks since you last posted. The boys are getting so big, and fast. Looks like everyone had fun! Nolan is such a heart breaker, ha-ha.
