School is officially out for the summer!
Now comes the fun task of juggling at-home work with at-home children :) Rylan just finished up 5th grade and Caleb completed 3rd grade with amazing report cards! Nolan will continue "school" through the summer - moving up to the 4-year-old room. I had to chuckle this weekend when I went to buy summer clothes for the boys. I was shopping in the men's section and the toddler's section... for brothers! Rylan is officially as tall as me!
Ry had the "pleasure" of keeping the class rat the last weekend of school. Rose stayed at our house - ran over the couch and counter tops - for three days. A RAT! A white, red-eyed RAT! He loved it. Rylan also just advanced ranks in TaeKwonDo. He's now a blue belt. I love watching him become stronger and stronger in this sport.
Caleb is still active in soccer. He's scored two goals this season and the team has won all but one game. (And when they win - they win by a land-slide!) His artwork was chosen by his classmates to be showcased at a local book store for the summer. The sketch is him flying over the Ohio State football stadium :)
And Nolan... Nolan remains my "little monster." He makes me smile each and every day! He definitely has a zest for life!
Me... I'm working on my fall teaching schedule and a school-themed release for The Whole Kit N Kaboodle in a few weeks. If there is a location you'd like for me to come and teach at and/or host a crop - please let me know!
oh I wish we were out...we still have 7 days to go!!!

The pictures of the boys are wonderful. Congratulations to Rylan on his advancement in TaeKwonDo. He really seems to enjoy being in it!!
Congrats to Caleb on his artwork being chosen to be on display for the summer-taking after his mom. And then there is Nolan--the free spirit of the group. He's a little cutie that is for sure.
I'm glad Rose the Rat was at your house and not mine, but it seems that Rylan really enjoyed having her home with him. Having boys sure does give you a never ending venue for taking pictures and journaling. Have a great summer boys!!!

I guess we better look at the calendar then and plan Rylan's trip to the Shand household :) Can't believe how old everyone looks!! Hmmm...I don't think I could do a rat, not even for a weekend. Well with 2 cats, I don't think the rat would survive the weekend. LOL Let me know your date for Lima and I will try and attend.

WOW...the boys look so handsome and grown up!! Just when you get in the groove of summer, it seems as if it's time to go back to school. Co-workers are already getting calls from their kids cuz they are bored...gonna be a long summer!! Can't wait to see your school kits, AD!! Oh, and you can keep the rats in Indy as far as I'm concerned :)
